I am relatively new to Fedora (less than 24h of experience) and I tried installing flash player from posts I found on ask.fedoraproject. The posts were and, however both did not end up working. The first topic installed flashplayer-plugin and was for some odd reason not recognized by Mozilla Firefox and the second link got me the following error message curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found error: import read failed(2). The question may be kinda stupid, but as I already mentioned I am relatively new to Fedora (and linux in general), so if someone can explain the cause of the issues, I would be more than grateful.

As we announced when Korora 22 was released, Adobe Flash is no longer included by default. The announcement stated: With this release we've decided to no-longer include Adobe Flash out of the box, due to the continued high number of security flaws. The repository is still enabled, however, and if you wish to use Flash you can install it using the package manager, or command line 'sudo dnf install flash-plugin' - or install and use Google Chrome which has the current up-to-date version of Flash. Unfortunately, we made an error in those instructions as the Adobe repo is deliberately no longer enabled by default either.

To install flash, first enable the repo: sudo dnf config-manager --set-enabled adobe With the repo enabled, you can proceed to install the flash plugin: sudo dnf install flash-plugin Restarting Firefox should ensure that Flash is now available. However, please remember that this is an older version of Flash that Adobe will never update, save for security updates (and there are lots of those).
