Working as a half-lyric book- half- autobiography, the book consists of almost every song in Blue October's catalog, including some songs that were never previously released to the public. The book implores readers to read the lyrics word for word, with each page including a hand-written footnote, sometimes a few sentences, sometimes a few paragraphs, about Justin's mindset when writing the song. Some songs were influenced by angst, some by drugs, and some by total rage and anger.
