Russell: Hi Alzymerz. For the last few months we haven’t heard a thing about you. You pushed off your scheduled release date. Can you tell us what was the reason of backing off (If it’s not too much personal)? Alzymerz: “Women I know all guys can relate on that shit (especially if you’re an emcee)”. Russell: Can you tell us something more about your new albums „The Devil’s Poetry“ and „Deadly Combo“?
Sally Shapiro Disco Romance Rar File there. Will it work in all. Take a gander. Earl's Famous DVD. Technology Exposition Web Page Extravaganza Supreme Deluxe.
Where did you get so much material to put out 2 albums at the same time? Alzymerz: The Devil’s Poetry and Deadly Combo are two very different projects. I like to think of it as ‘The Devil’s Poetry’ is the main meal and ‘Deadly Combo’ is the dessert.
I started working on The Devil’s Poetry whilst I was mixing ‘Methods of Madness’ during this time I also discovered some verses that Dario Argento did which were not released and also some Dyad Souls concepts and it seemed to be a waste not to use these so I thought this would make a good project to work on ‘Deadly Combo’. The best way I can explain it is like this: THE DEVIL’S POETRY After ‘Methods of Madness’ I felt that it was time that I really go back to my evil ways and present a ultra-violent album that will please any Dyad Souls fan. In order to make the best solo album possible I drew inspiration from three projects for this album ‘Overkill – Dyad Souls’, ‘Barn of the Naked Dead – Mr. Hyde’ & ‘Decrepid Methods – Psych Ward’. Every track on the album (except for two tracks) are completely brutal and based around random violence. The beats that were selected are dark and grimey and I deliberately went out of my way to ensure that there were minimal features on the album.
The reason I did this is to showcase who I am as a solo artist. This album certainly is not for everyone but I am sure that every Dyad Sous fan and those who love brutal shit will enjoy it as it is extremely aggressive and demonstrates my style which I like to call ‘Verbal blades’ DEADLY COMBO Deadly Combo has more of a mixtape feel too it. I thought it was time to resurrect some classic Dyad Souls tracks along with some of my favorite solo tracks off ‘Methods of Madness’ and put a different spin on them with some killer remixes. I also put together a few new exclusive joints for this album along with some unheard Dyad material. I also put a couple of Bonus tracks at the end of the album that are produced by other beat makers however it is Realizm’s beats that really make this album. The remixes are so different to the original tracks and the beat samples are diverse. Realizm really brings that Boom Bap style over dark/heavy samples and gives a whole new feel to classic Dyad/Alzymerz joints.
Russell: Originally you wanted to release those albums in the middle of September. Right now the release date is scheduled on the end of the year 2013. Can we spot the difference because of this delay on albums? Alzymerz: If I was to release the albums as they were in September I would not be satisfied with the quality.
Right now I am still pushing very hard just to get both of these finished before X-mas. I am a perfectionist when it comes to mixing these days. I go back and listen to the album a hundred times at least and fine tune things so fractionally to the point where I people must think I have OCD. I want to ensure that everyone loves these albums. I have included the download link at the bottom of this interview to ‚The Devil’s Poetry‘ and I’m ‚Deadly Combo‘ will be ready real soon!
Russell: „Deadly Combo“ is completely produced by the producer called Realizm. Can you actually tell that he’s the ideal type of producer for you? Who are the other producers you enjoy to work with?
Which are the aspects of ideal beat for you? What makes you to decide that you’re gonna rap over certain beat? Alzymerz: Realizm is a very unique producer, I’ve been associated with Realizm for many years now and consider him as a friend. He is easy to deal with and understands what I want when I explain it and giving him creative control over the beats was the best thing I could have done. I love the way the drums hit on his beats. They really get you nodding your head.
I even got him to produce 3 tracks on ‘The Devil’s Poetry’ as I thought he could contribute. I’m into dark/grimy beats, generally simple style beats are my favorite that allow the lyrics to do their thing. I’m a fan of a sharp kicks with crisp hitting snares.
It would be hard for me to name all the beat makers that I like working with but here is a few dope producers that I suggest you check out: Realizm, Klive Kraven, J Nyce, Seb The Undead, Plague Plenty, Vampts, Hueco Prods, Olaf, Symphonic, Edd Bundy and Dark Arts. Russell: After that you ended Dyad Souls Era, both of you guys started your solo carreers. You released your first solo album „Methods Of Madness“ at the end of the year 2012.
Are you still satisfied with the result after some time? Alzymerz: ‘Methods of Madness’ was a very different style of project for me as I went down a more ‘Hardcore Hip Hop’ style. I noticed that Dario Argento’s solo album ‘Life as a Corpse’ was very different to his Dyad work too. I think this was a good thing as it allowed us to distinguish our ability to take on different styles and express ourselves as solo artists. In saying this I didn’t feel that ‘Methods of Madness’ embodied the full extent of evilness that my previous releases had and whilst the change was refreshing I felt that it was time to go back down the dark path.
Russell: On „Methods Of Madness“ we can find some tracks with the horrorcore essence, but the album goes rather in the spirit of raw hardcore rap. That was the reason why I was thinking that you’re gonna continue in that style. Then I was surprised when you said that the next album will be somehow more like the return to horrorcore. What aspects led to this decission? Alzymerz: I’m a big fan of random violence tracks but at the same time I like to be able to see an artist express their true self and have the ability to do deep tracks that can move their audience.
Because ‘Methods of Madness’ had a lot of story tracks as well as deep tracks I thought it was time to return to my evil ways and once again let the bodies hit the floor. ‘The Devil’s Poetry’ is very different to ‘Methods of Madness’. I am not sure what to expect from the reviews to be honest. To me I am personally proud of this work.
When taking a few months off to get my shit together I completely stayed away from Hip Hop. I enjoyed this break and think it is important to have a holiday away from the scene for a few months each year. When I returned I remember I put ‘The Devil’s Poetry’ back on to start mixing again. Because I was working on it every day I had completely become desensitized to the violence however when I listened to it again I realized that this album is very violent and unnecessarily brutal, hahahaha. Russell: As we said, your album was released at the end of the year 2012.
Right after that release, you announced the release date for another 2 albums. How is it possible to make it that fast? Where do you get the ideas for your songs? Alzymerz: During the ‘Methods of Madness’ era I was already making tracks for my next projects which I was setting aside. At the moment I am already writing for my next project which will be sure to surprise you! The easiest topic for me to write to is ‘random violence’.
It is my strong suit and what I get the most pleasure in writing as I like to incorporate humor into the darkness for this reason it has taken about 2 years for me to complete ‘The Devil’s Poetry’ (but to most people it seems I have only been working on it for 1 year). Russell: 3 music videos in total had been released for „Methods Of Madness“ and 1 for „The Devil’s Poetry“. Are you planning to do more videos for the new album? How much do you enjoy to make music videos for your own music? Alzymerz: I am not sure what the future holds for music videos. I may make some more shortly though budget is always a concern as I don’t make money back from this.
I really enjoyed making all four videos and made sure that all four were very different from each other. The last video that we shot ‘Remorseless’ was a very interesting day.
We actually filmed it in an abandoned mental Asylum in Sydney which was used to house the criminally insane (murderers, rapists, psychopaths etc.) When filming the clip all of the cast and camera team saw things move (including the cables for our lighting racks being ripped off the walls), heard unsettling noises (including voices, footsteps, whistling, old lady singing, little girl crying etc.). It was extremely creepy and we all felt an undeniable presence that did not enjoy us using its home as a film set.
The building was huge and there is a heavy feeling of anger and resentment throughout the air. Russell: Right now you are singed under the Goldminded Records. How did you get in touch with them? Are you satisfied with your position on the label? Alzymerz: Goldminded Records is home to me. Back in 2009 we got in contact with Klive Kraven (CEO of GMD) by discovering his horror beats online.
Toast Titanium 10 Mac Serial Number. Since then I have been fortunate to work with a diverse and awesome team of artists, producers and DJ. Klive really puts his all into the label and I like the fact that every artist is vastly different from the next. All of the Goldminded Records artist’s work with each other regularly and you’ll notice on all of my albums that the majority of features and producers are fellow GMD artists. Russell: In Dyad Souls you appeared under the moniker Mario Bava, based on the name of famous Italian horror director. Why did you decide to change it on the name Alzymerz? How did you come up with that? Alzymerz: Mario Bava is my favorite Italian Horror producer.
I have always enjoyed his movies and went under this alias when apart of Dyad Souls. When going solo I wanted to distinguish myself as an individual artist and the best way to do this was to rename myself and start again. In the end I am happy to appear under either name however I think I’ve now established Alzymerz and when rapping as a solo artist I will release my albums under this title.
Russell: How did you get to rap and horrorcore? What was the first impulse that made you say „Yeah, this is what I want to do!“? Alzymerz: Fuck this takes me back as its been so long since I first got into this shit. I remember listening to dark shit through out high school from when I was like 13-14. I remember the first time I listened to Mr. Hyde and Necro I was like 17. The sickening felling that it had on me but at the same time I couldn’t stop listening.
I guess I related to the rage and violence that comes from within and also wanted to portray my anger and dark side! Russell: During your carreer you’ve collaborated with many different artists.
It there any collab you appreciate the most? With who you enjoyed work the most?
Alzymerz: This is a hard one to decide as I appreciate all of the artists who I’ve been lucky enough to work with throughout the years. I guess if it came to one artist that I appreciated most it would be Mr. The dude is not only talented and an inspiration but is also extremely humble and professional. Big ups to the Beast Man!
Russell: Have you got some dream collab that you would love to make happen in the future? Alzymerz: These days I have really started to tighten my collabos as I’m trying to showcase my shit as a solo artist. If I was to pick a dream collabo it would be ‚Big L‘ but he is dead so that ain’t gonna happen.other than that I’ve worked with all the people I really wanted to and enjoy working with my GMD label mates.
Russell: How do you feel about contemporary state of horrorcore and undergound rap in major? Alzymerz: Not sure bout the scene these days as I’m stuck in the past.
To be honest with you I don’t follow many people in the Horrorcore scene these days. Purely for the fact that there are so many whack artists out there that sound all the same and just get props from their gimmicks and not their actual lyrics and content. In saying this I’m a fan of more hardcore death rap such as Mr. Hyde, Necro and hardcore horror hip hop such as Psych Ward, Donnie Menace etc. There are still alot of dope underground artists out there at the moment but it seems for every decent artist there is 4 of 5 shit ones.
Russell: Dario told us that both of you like foreign rap music. We can find an artists from the different countries rapping in different languages on your albums. Are you asking for their translated lyrics to English to know what they rap about or you are just ok with the way how they sound on tracks? Alzymerz: I believe violence is a universal language that every human being can understand. I first heard Sodoma Gomora and knew they were on some brutal shit and were also lyrical. Whilst I didn’t know what the fuck they were saying at first they were kind enough to translate the lyrics and I must say I was disgusted by the violence which made me smile and happy.
I enjoying showcasing different languages on our albums. I’ve worked with artists from Russia, Spain, South America, Germany, Italy and of course the Czech Republic that all speak their native lingo. Russell: What do you say about the fact that you have fans all over the world? Specifically, in the Czech Republic, Dyad Souls are very popular, mainly because of your featurings with Sodoma Gomora. Alzymerz: I’m humbled that I have fans all over the word. I appreciate all of the support and love to hear from my fans and talk to them. I appreciate the support we have had from Sodoma Gomora as they really helped in expanding our fan base.
Hit me up on Facebook and let me know where you hail from as I’m always interested in talking to fans. Russell: What type of music do you listen in your free time? Do you stick with rap music or you rather go with some other genres?
Name some of your favourite musicians. Alzymerz: I have a diverse selection of music that I listen to. I listen to lots of hip hop but also enjoy metal and heavy rock. My favorite artists would have to be (in no particular order): Big L, Big Pun, ILL Bill, AOTP, DTACH, Necro, Mr. Hyde, Dragonforce, Psych Ward, Vakill & Ryhme Asylum. Russell: People are familiar with the fact that Dyad Souls love Giallo.
Can you name some of your all time fave giallo flicks or some other favorite horror movies? Alzymerz: I am a massive Giallo fan and you will notice that both Dario and I mention Giallos in a lot of our tracks. Some of my favorites include: Profondo Rosso, Black Belly of the Tarantula, Case of the Scorpions Tale, Delirium, Bay of Blood, Sleepless and a Blade in the Dark. I also love horror movies such as Shock, Wishmaster Series and Demons.
Russell: What about Dario Argento? How he’s going? Has he been missing horrorcore? Is there any possibility that he would call off the end of his career? Alzymerz: I know he is living his life these days away from hip hop. I know he still listens to horrorcore and is watching the scene from the shadows.
I am not sure if he will ever come back but I would never say never. Russell: Do you miss the Dyad Souls era or are you completely alright with the fact that you are a solo artist now? Alzymerz: I do at times miss the Dyad Souls era as I enjoyed doing shows with Dario and enjoying many laughs in the studio. These days he no longer raps but if I can ever convince him to come back and do one last Dyad Souls album I would be happy. Russell: And what about Alzymerz in 2014?
Have you been planning to take a break after this double release or you just gonna record some new stuff immediately? Alzymerz: I’m thinking about a bit of a break. At least a year off to relax and chill, who knows I might start working on some more shit throughout the year but hip hop has its way of making you loose site of all that is really important in life and I wouldn’t mind 6-12 months to enjoy without having to worry about writing and recording and mixing everyday. Russell: Thanks four your time. At the end I’m giving you the free space for your own words. Is there something you would like to tell to your Czech fans? Future Pinball Simpsons Download Free. Alzymerz: Thank you all for your support.
Please download my album for free and let me know your thoughts (good or bad). I enjoy hearing from supporters of horrorcore so add me on Facebook ‚Alzymerz Gmd‘. I know many of you miss Dyad Souls, all I can say is that sometimes the dead rise from the grave and 2015 might be a good year for something crazy to happen.
